Author Bio (short)

Frances Aylor is a mystery writer who loves travel and finance. Her first novel, Money Grab, won the Ingram Spark Ignite/Rising Star award. Her short stories have been published in several anthologies, including Deadly Southern Charm and Malice Domestic: Mystery Most Theatrical.

An avid traveler, Frances has visited over 30 countries. She worked in investing for many years, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a past president of CFA Society of Virginia.

Frances Aylor loves mysteries, travel and finance. She is the author of Money Grab, a thriller, which won the Ingram Spark Ignite/Rising Star Award. Her short stories have been published in several anthologies, including Deadly Southern Charm and Malice Domestic: Mystery Most Theatrical. A member of International Thriller Writers and Sisters in Crime (SinC), she is currently president of the SinC – Central Virginia chapter. 

She has traveled to over 30 countries and has visited the Forbidden City in China, the Hermitage in Russia, the Western Wall in Israel, and the pyramids in Egypt. She has enjoyed white-water rafting in Costa Rica, paragliding in Switzerland and Mexico, piranha fishing in the Amazon, and swimming with stingrays in the Caribbean. 

Frances worked in investing for many years, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a past president of CFA Society of Virginia. 

A native of Virginia, she has an English degree from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Money Grab is her first novel.

Financial advisor Robbie Bradford has just landed the biggest client of her career, a $20 million account that will put her on the fast track to partnership at wealth management firm Fairburn, Crandall. Then a family tragedy shatters her world. When she finally returns to work, she discovers that colleague Vivian Sutherland has stolen the client and pretty much locked up the partnership for herself. 

The two women clash at a charity gala. Then Vivian is murdered. And Robbie becomes the primary suspect. 

Caught in a conspiracy of greed and betrayal, Robbie is abandoned by those she trusted most as she struggles to rebuild her life and career. Can she find the killer before she becomes the next victim of a malicious money grab?
