Over Easter weekend, Money Grab traveled to Hot Springs, Virginia to visit the Omni Homestead Resort, first established in 1766. Twenty-three U.S. presidents have visited the resort, famous for its mineral waters, nationally ranked golf courses, and variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including tennis, horseback riding, and falconry.
The Easter bunny, dancing spring flowers and a giant chick were on hand to entertain children and participate in Easter craft activities.
We enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and beautiful landscaping.
We lunched on pizza, burgers, mussels and shrimp scampi in the Casino Restaurant. Afternoon tea was served in the spacious lobby with its beautiful carpets.
Our favorite spot for breakfast was the Country Café, a few miles down the road.
What are some of your favorite travel spots? I look forward to hearing about them on Facebook.
